In the 20th century, several women potters from other Pueblos married into Jemez and helped foster a remarkable pottery revival. Contemporary Jemez pottery has advanced to new levels of quality, technique, and form. Their pottery styles include matte polychrome with natural pigments on polished redware. Exquisite melon bowls and swirl pots are made in both polished redware and tanware.
